The Naughty & Nice New Year’s Resolutions That Any Gamer Will Understand
- I will responsibly set aside time for gaming so that it doesn’t interfere with my other responsibilities… Or, I will prioritize gaming above all else (and I mean it).
- I will try out new games and genres to broaden my gaming horizons… Or, I will only play the same games and genres that I already crush at, sending newcomers to their graves with a smile on my face.
- I will improve my skills and strategies in my favorite games through study and hours of practice… Or, I will purely rely on my natural talents (and natural good looks), becoming frustrated when “that garbage noob” finishes me off, blaming my bum controller or the spotty internet in the process.
- I will try to be a more positive and sportsmanlike player, both in-game and online communities… Or, I will embrace my inner toxicity and let my ego run wild.
- I will be mindful of my physical health and take breaks to stretch, rest my eyes, and hydrate while gaming. Or, I will ignore the physical pains of my body during a five-hour gaming session, playing until my fingers cramp up.
- I will set achievable goals for my gaming progress, such as reaching a certain level or earning a certain achievement. Or, I will set unrealistic goals that are clearly beyond my reach, and again, get frustrated when I don’t meet them.
- I will be open to feedback and criticism from my fellow gamers and use it to improve my gameplay. Or, I will reject any feedback or criticism and accept that I am already the best.
