As the holiday break approaches, many of us want to revisit some of our favorite games from the past. Whether it be for pleasure or “the memories,” we’ll let you decide. If you’re in the mood to dust off your old consoles and rediscover some classic games, here are a few titles from the Gamecube, PlayStation 2, and original Xbox era that deserve to be replayed:
“Super Mario Sunshine” (Gamecube): This classic platformer from Nintendo is a must-play for any gaming fan. Join Mario as he travels to the tropical Isle Delfino to clean up graffiti and take down the evil Shadow Mario.
“Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” (PlayStation 2): This open-world action-adventure game from Rockstar Games is set in the fictional state of San Andreas and follows the story of Carl “CJ” Johnson as he navigates the dangerous streets of Los Santos.
“Halo 2” (Xbox): This classic first-person shooter from Bungie is set in the 26th century and follows the story of the Master Chief as he battles the alien alliance known as the Covenant. Its immersive storyline and intense *local multiplayer make it a must-play. (If you still want to play online, you’ll need a PC these days).

“The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker” (Gamecube): This action-adventure game follows the hero, Link, as he travels across a vast ocean to save his sister and defeat the evil Ganondorf. Its cel-shaded graphics and iconic art style make it a timeless classic.
“Shadow of the Colossus” (PlayStation 2): This action-adventure game from Team Ico tasks players with taking down towering colossi to restore the life of a young girl. Its stunning visuals and emotional story make it a must-play.
